Heart & Whisk Bakery started back in 2013—though at the time, I had no idea where it would lead. I was just a high school student decorating my first set of cookies, about to head off to Sam Houston State University to pursue nursing. I achieved that dream, earning my bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2017, and went on to work in the hospital from 2018 to 2022.
During those years, baking was my creative escape—a way to unwind after long shifts. What started as a simple hobby quickly grew into a side hustle, and that side hustle became something even bigger.
I dreamed of more than just decorating cookies—I wanted to create a space where people could gather, connect, and enjoy something sweet. After years of hard work, late nights, and a whole lot of heart, we officially opened our storefront on September 14, 2024—and sold out on our very first day!
Heart & Whisk is more than a bakery—it’s a piece of me, poured into a place for others to enjoy. I built the kind of spot I’d want to visit, whether with family, friends, or on a date with my partner. This journey has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life, and I couldn’t have done it without the love and support of my incredible family and friends.
